Macarena Pinilla is an artist whose exploration about her surroundings give space to a sense of being without boundaries. It’s then when she stablishes a conversation with the natural world that emerges from a state of timeless existence.

Her research contemplates other methods of perception, exploring reality with unusual practices so that landscapes become metamorphosed into other realms. Then she observes how these environments behave in relation to the self and to natural cycles.

The narrative in her paintings get rid of the visual limitations found in forms and symbolism, melting away any kind of stablished ideas. Her influence from abstract expressionism artists, existentialism and mystical insights compose her original artwork.
