Macarena Pinilla is an artist who seeks to find the connectivity between our being and nature.

Her research contemplates other methods of perception, exploring reality with unusual practices so that surroundings become metamorphosed into other realms. Then she observes how this environments behave in relation to the self contemplating a unifying essence.

To get rid of the visual limitations found in forms and take us a step beyond, her artistic process focuses on abstract painting. Her influence from abstract expressionism artists, existentialism and mystical insights from the environment compose her original artwork.

Presence, belonging and duality in association to nature are captured in her paintings as an evidence of genuine connectedness.
